About this event

March 21 Hands-on:  Hat/Wig Stand

This workshop will explain the process of designing a stand that can be used for wigs or hats. Each participant should plan on completing at least one stand.

After turning the stand, we will explore surface embellishment, which will transform the stand from drab to pizzazz and bring life, personality and uniqueness by using milk paint, colored pencils and more to embellish the surfaces.

Note: Following the lead of AAW, NWWWT is in the beginning stages of participating in a national project to turn wig stands. The intent is to partner with local cancer support groups who provide free wigs and wig stands to recipients in need. If you wish to make and donate a wig stand toward this effort, please contact Melanie Mankamyer.
