What is this?
Ed Pretty from the Greater Vancouver Woodturning Guild will join us to give a presentation on a variation of "Beyond ABC, anchor, bevel, cut" that he calls Ten Things. It's actually more than 10 things but 10 was a nice round number. It will highlight things that many turners are not aware of or overlook. You can find more about Ed on his website: https://edswoodturning.com/
Member Gallery: Members are encouraged to bring their woodturning creations to the monthly meeting.
The President's challenge this month is to turn a pot or vase that can be used to display flowers. Bonus points to those who also turn flowers and incorporate them into the display. A Craft Supply gift card will be awarded to one member. Any wood, any size is acceptable. Anyone bringing in their creation is eligible for a free wood raffle ticket. Their items will be photographed, and the photos posted on our website and might be included in the Newsletter.
Tool Raffle: A great way to pick up a new tool at a fraction of the cost if you're the lucky raffle winner!
Wood Raffle: There is always a good selection of quality turning wood donated by Club members.
